Student ChaptersThe Student Chapter formed to facilitate the communication and activities between Oregon’s two pharmacy schools and provide the state’s pharmacy students with a voice on the OSHP Board of Directors. The Student Chapter represents the interest of pharmacy students from Pacific University and Oregon State University/Oregon Health & Science University. Membership in the student chapter of OSHP is open to all students pursuing a professional pharmacy education. Opportunities for students in OSHP include professional interaction and education through chapter meetings and seminars, networking with future employers and colleagues, eligibility for the OSHP student scholarship, and observation of pharmacist peers from various health-system practice settings. Our Student Chapter’s goals are to:
The student chapter traditionally provides local student chapter meetings and routine community service through poison prevention activities and health-service events. The chapter develops, coordinates, and promotes an annual CE law program for pharmacists throughout the state.
