OSHP Sections
Section membership is included at no additional charge to all OSHP members. You may join as many Sections as you wish, with full access to the specialized news, information, and services of each. If you choose more than one Section, please indicate your preferred Primary Section in the space provided. In your Primary Section, you’ll enjoy voting privileges for electing Section leadership and other matters concerning elected positions.
What are Sections and why should I join one?
Sections are being introduced as a way to connect practitioners who have similar interests or practice areas. By joining a section you can network with those who share your interests. Sections will include online forums where you can discuss current trends in your field. They will also facilitate finding colleagues willing to collaborate on presentations at future meetings.
Some sections are so broad that they will have Specialty Interest Groups to address the specific needs of their section membership.
What Sections are being offered?
MEDICATION SAFETY SECTION LEADER: TABITHA FRIDRIKSSON
The Medication Safety section of OSHP aims to establish a professional network for pharmacists, technicians, and students statewide to focus on medication safety topics. Our goal is to promote pharmacy practitioner ownership and application of medication safety principles in daily practice. The section also helps to identify and develop educational activities and resources related to medication safety, propose appropriate risk-reducing strategies for emerging issues, and promote the medication safety officer’s value in advancing health care quality and safety initiatives.
Inpatient Practitioners & Clinical Specialists Section Leader: katie foster
The Inpatient Practitioners and Clinical Specialist section of OSHP aims to establish a professional network for acute care pharmacists, technicians, and students statewide. Our goal is to provide opportunities for acute care and specialty practitioners to share experiences and knowledge in an open forum to optimize patient outcomes. In doing so, we hope to foster communication across the different specialties for practitioners throughout Oregon. We look forward to seeing you at our next event!
