Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD)

A brief overview of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). A discussion about prevalence, etiology and risk factors for development, and consequences of progression. The primary focus will be on prevention of NAFLD with lifestyle changes. A pharmacological review of drugs with variable therapeutic benefit will be discussed.

• Objective 2: Discuss the etiology and risk factors for development of NAFLD
• Objective 3: Explain the consequences of progression of NAFLD
